This is a notice of intent to award a sole source, Firm- Fixed Price (FFP) contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) - FAR 6.302-1(b)(2) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to GE Health care, located at PO Box 96483, Chicago IL 60693. The scope of the requirement is to purchase Portable X-Ray Machine, deliver and install system. The upgrade needs to be compatible with the current Federal Transfer Center Oklahoma City software, connections, lines, enclosure, supports, and switches compatible to our existing system. Within these capabilities, we can order to restore the redundant capabilities of the x-ray machine for it to be fully compliant with technical design guidelines/division 17, standards as well as the additional testing requirements of the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP). GE Healthcare is the sole vendor and supplier of the Optima XR220amx 30kw in place with the specifications needed. This includes mounting plates, lines, enclosures, supports, and switches compatible to our existing system. GE Healthcare is the only known company at this time, which can provide the FBOP with the system and technical services for this requirement needed in this upgrade. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, at the Federal Transfer Center Oklahoma City (FTC) Oklahoma, will award the requirement. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334510. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. A Request for Quote (RFQ) will not be available for this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated service can provide supporting documents demonstrating their capability and specifications within three (3) calender days after date of publication of this notice of intent. Responses received will be used for future acquisitions. The point of contact for this acquisition is Supervisory Contract Specialist Raul Rivera, r1rivera@bop.gov.
