The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission plans to award a fixed-price purchase order to Accuity on a single source basis for access to the Global Banking Resource online database. This exclusive procurement is justified by the contracting officer’s determination that Accuity is the sole provider capable of meeting the SEC’s requirement, as the database offers uniquely comprehensive foreign and domestic financial institution information, updated daily. This information is essential for SEC staff in their operations and enforcement activities, and the database is only available through the publisher, making it unavailable from other sources. The anticipated contract period is one year with four additional one-year renewal options, and the total contract value will remain below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The award is expected to be made around March 27, 2014, with no competitive solicitation being issued as part of this process. Nonetheless, the SEC invites any interested parties to express their interest and capability to meet the requirement by the response date, despite this not being a competitive procurement. The contract falls under the NAICS code 511210, and the contracting authority resides within the SEC’s Washington, DC office. Key contacts for this procurement include Christina J. Turner and Contracting Officer Jeanette Snyder, who can provide additional information if needed.
