This is a "Synopsis" for the National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II), which is a state-of-the-art scientific research facility at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) that operates continuously 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. NSLS-II includes a full-energy booster/injector that injects electrons at 3 GeV into a highly optimized electron synchrotron storage ring that is 792 meters in circumference at the electron beam centerline. The NSLS-II storage ring can accommodate up to 58 experimental beamlines.


The Photon Delivery System Components described in the Draft SOW, hereafter referred to as “the Equipment,” will be used as a vital part of the Quantitative Cellular Tomography (QCT) beamlines ensuring that the X-ray beam at the endstations meets the requirements of the scientific experiments to be performed.
