Building P-1 in Naval Station Norfolk constructed circa 1918-1920 is showing visible signs of degradations. Building P-1 contains steam plant equipped with three operational boilers, mechanical equipment, control room, and administrative offices for PW65. In addition, city water provided by the City of Norfolk enters the southern side of the building. Visual inspection showed deficiencies in the brick assembly such as cracks and broken bricks. In addition, windows are in poor condition and likely need replacement. Wooden panels covering the windows in front of Building P-1 are rotting and need rework or replacement. Deficiencies found are safety concerns for personnel working in Building P-1. As soon as possible. If not completed, personnel working in Building P-1 will be continuously exposed to unsafe working conditions (i.e. bricks can fall from the exterior wall). CNIC funded UIC: N62688
