Full Description

The DMV is seeking a contractor to manufacture, produce, print, and mail Registration Renewal Notices to approximately one and a half to two million NYS registrants each year (split into four types, based on single-fee Renewal Notices, or three-fee Renewal Notices, and variable banner between counties, with state or county issuing offices, expected to be roughly split as described in Section 2.2 below for each type of notice per year). The Bidder that is awarded a contract pursuant to this IFB (“Contractor”) will provide a service to custom print, and present for mailing, Registration Renewal Notices using information provided from the DMV registration database. As further described herein, this service will include (1) printing colored double-sided notices with custom printing; (2) producing a mailing envelope and remittance envelope for each mailing; (3) inserting the Renewal Notices and return envelopes as a mailing; (4) performing a full postal sort (to five digits) of each semi-monthly print job; and (5) presenting these renewal packages to the post office for mailing. DMV will be responsible for paying for postage, and will fulfill that obligation through direct transaction with the United States Postal Service (USPS).
