This Request for Information (RFI) is from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Washington Headquarters Services - Acquisitions Directorate on behalf of the Physical Security Enterprise & Analysis Group (PSEAG) Detection & Assessment (D&A) Integrated Process Team (IPT). PSEAG seeks to gather information to further its understanding of currently available technologies, and/or prototypes, that could provide material solutions that have the ability to detect potential threats at standoff distances, classify them as human, animal, or other, then determine the intent of a potential adversary. It includes equipment needed to make appropriate assessments of the threats and developing situations, as well as equipment related to the identification of hazards, and notification of personnel regarding these hazards. PSEAG invites industry, academia, and other Government organizations to submit applications addressing innovative technology solutions with the D&A focus area. Laboratories may submit applications provided that their participation complies with their sponsoring agencies procedures. Select information gathered will be used to populate a PSEAG D&A technology Roadmap and catalog/archive for possible capability demonstration events focused on the protection of government infrastructure and facility security.
