His Majesty the King in right of Canada, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), is initiating a process to prequalify contractors for an office fit-up for the expansion of the Consulate General of Canada in Dubai. Interested suppliers are required to respond to this Invitation to Qualify. Only those Respondents considered by DFATD to meet the pre-qualification requirements as defined in this document will be invited to submit competitive bids for this work during the Request for Proposal phase of the solicitation.
The Consulate General of Canada in Dubai requires a long-term accommodation solution to enable the Consulate General of Canada, United Arab Emirates (UAE) to deliver its mandate. The existing Consulate General is at threshold and doesn’t meet functional requirements. In addition to having insufficient ancillary space such as meeting rooms and storage, the server room needs to be enlarged to accommodate additional electronic equipment. In order to rectify the existing space constraints and allow for planned growth, DFATD requires 408.6 m2 of additional office space.
The fit-up will accommodate for additional workstations, washroom facilities, meeting rooms, multiple closed offices, printer area, and a kitchenette with a total floor area of approximately 408.6 m2 comprising approximately 1/3 of the floor of the building.
