Okaloosa County Jail - Delta Pod - Complete Shingle Re-Roof

The Board of County Commissioners of Okaloosa County, Florida, is soliciting bids under ITB FM 06-27 for a complete shingle roof replacement of the Delta Pod at the Okaloosa County Jail located in Crestview. The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of existing shingles, underlayment, and flashings down to the plywood deck, followed by the inspection and replacement of unsound plywood. The contractor must install new continuous roof underlayment, architectural asphalt shingles with a shake appearance, and new sheet metal at edges, valleys, and penetrations. All work must adhere to current building codes, industry standards, and manufacturer specifications, and the contractor is required to provide a manufacturer-issued watertightness warranty along with design approval and workmanship certifications. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible vendor offering the lowest bid, though the County reserves the right to award to multiple vendors or a respondent whose negotiated agreement is most advantageous to the County. Required certifications include a Buy America Certificate, a Drug-Free Workplace Certification, and various affidavits regarding human trafficking, public entity crime, and the Cone of Silence policy.
