Full Description

In association with the launch of Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) 5, the Navy Communications Satellite Program Office (PMW 146) is sponsoring a one day MUOS capable radio Over The Air (OTA) demonstration in the vicinity of Cocoa Beach, FL. Specifics (date and location) will be provided later to qualified and confirmed parties. This OTA demonstration is intended to exhibit the capability of the MUOS system to formal MUOS 5 launch invitees. PMW 146 intends to provide an equitable venue for qualified MUOS capable radio vendors. Interested terminal vendors are required to have an existing Interim Over the Air (OTA) approval from PMW 146, a corresponding NSA OTA letter, and a minimum Level-3 spectrum approval. Vendors are responsible for their own transportation, storage and security measures for radios, COMSEC and associated equipment. All costs associated with responding and participating in this OTA are the sole responsibility of the interested vendor. The Government will not provide funding to any interested vendor responding to this announcement. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in preparing responses or for planning, executing or participating in the demonstration or any other activities that are derived from or associated with this announcement. Interested vendors should contact/direct any questions in writing via e-mail to MAJ Bryan Juntunen and Jarratt Mowery . Interested vendors are required to provide an affirmative response, with appropriate documented qualifications, no later than 15 March 2016. While this is a pre-requisite for participation in the OTA demonstration, submission of information in response to this announcement does not imply nor guarantee participation.
