Online subscription access to journals from NPG

The purpose of this amendment is to add an additional site, provide the number of users per site and to clarify the type of subscription access: The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) will also be included on the subject award. DTRA - 88 users USU - 2000 users JPC - 53 users Journals must be available in PDF format, current and accessible remotely by all our electronic resource users over the internet. Access includes all articles published in 2013 and going back to 1997 or the earliest available issue. The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU), located in Bethesda, MD, has a requirement for online subscription access to various journals from Nature Publishing Group. These journals will also be made available to the Joint Pathology Center (JPC). Additional information regarding USU and its mission can be found on our website: www.usuhs.mil. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotes (RFQ) for commercial items in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This RFQ incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-64 (January 18, 2013) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) (December 31, 2012). In order to be eligible for award, offerors must be registered in www.SAM.gov, with completed representations and certifications. Offerors interested in responding to this requirement must provide a quote for the journals listed. The selected offeror must be able to provide online access to all journals listed for USU and JPC. The Government reserves the right to modify the resultant award to add additional journals available from Nature Publishing Group and to add additional sites, by mutual agreement with the selected offeror. A single firm fixed-priced (FFP) order will be awarded.
