Notice of Intent to Sole Source BK Connect Maintenance Renewal Upgrade & SupportThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Hottinger Bruel & Kjaer for the renewal, upgrade, and ongoing support of BK Connect software maintenance for its existing HBK Pulse system equipment. This action is necessary to ensure continued functionality, system reliability, and access to timely technical support, as Hottinger Bruel & Kjaer is the exclusive provider of software updates and maintenance services for the HBK platform. The procurement is authorized under FAR 12.102(a), allowing the government to solicit from a single source due to the specialized nature of the software and lack of alternatives. The notice of intent was posted on June 26, 2026, with a response deadline of July 6, 2026, and is being managed by the CDC Office of Acquisition Services under solicitation number 2026-98070. While this is not a formal request for competitive bids, any responses received within the ten-day window will be reviewed to determine whether competition is warranted, though the government retains full discretion to proceed without competition. All submissions must be sent via email to Denedra Hardy at qfa5@cdc.gov, and the performance location is in Atlanta, Georgia. Intent to Sole Source – Currence Platform (Technology Commercialization and Market Intelligence Platform)ARPA-E intends to award a sole-source Blanket Purchase Agreement and immediate Call Order to Currence for access to its Technology Commercialization and Market Intelligence Platform, a specialized AI-driven tool designed to deliver real-time data, expert analysis, and granular market insights within the energy and emerging technology sectors. The platform is critical for tracking the commercialization progression of ARPA-E-funded projects and requires capabilities not available elsewhere, including deep API integration for automated data updates and bulk CSV exports, a multi-level technology taxonomy for precise competitor mapping across energy sub-segments, and direct access to sector analysts for validation and interpretation of insights. These features are uniquely combined within Currence’s offering and are essential to meet ARPA-E’s operational needs for continuous portfolio monitoring and strategic decision-making. The requirement is classified under NAICS code 513210 with a Total Small Business Set-Aside designation and is being conducted under FAR Part 12. Although ARPA-E is moving forward on a sole-source basis, it has issued a public notice inviting any potential vendors to submit capability statements by July 6, 2026, to demonstrate their ability to meet the specified requirements. All submissions must be sent in writing to Anthony Giannetti at anthony.giannetti@hq.doe.gov, with Brandon Beyer as a secondary point of contact.
