Opposing Counsel Depositions

The Office of the Attorney General will engage multiple court reporter companies to obtain transcripts, deposition records, and testimony copies for plaintiffs, eyewitnesses, and other clients, primarily for use in court proceedings and settlement negotiations. Each request will require the inclusion of the specific court reporter’s name as designated by the assigning attorney, and all associated fees will be governed by a fee schedule provided by the court reporter firm and attached to every requisition. Staff assistants are responsible for accurately documenting the court reporter selection on each requisition form to ensure proper billing and timely delivery of required materials. The process is structured to support legal operations across the District of Columbia with a clear chain of responsibility for requisition submission and cost accountability.
