UT-Battelle, LLC, managing Oak Ridge National Laboratory under a Department of Energy contract, is seeking commercialization partners for an advanced visualization tool designed to handle multidimensional data analysis. The technology, known as the Linked-View Parallel Coordinate Plot Renderer, addresses the challenges of visualizing and interacting with large-scale, complex datasets, especially those involving thousands to millions of simulations. This tool features multiple linked views for interactive querying, utilizing map-based data selection, bar chart overlays, and high dynamic range line rendering. Its core component is a parallel coordinate renderer employing techniques such as binning, curved layouts, and shader-based rendering to enable efficient, real-time visualization on both large displays and desktop environments. Prospective licensees will be evaluated based on their ability and commitment to successfully commercialize the technology, with preferences for U.S.-based and small businesses. The opportunity is posted under solicitation number ORNL-TT-2015-08, with the place of performance in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Interested parties are encouraged to contact David Sims, the Commercialization Manager, or Carol D. Rader, the Technology Commercialization Specialist, for more information and to apply for licensing. This effort aims to foster partnerships that can bring this cutting-edge visualization technology to broader commercial use.

UT-Battelle, LLC, acting under its Prime Contract No. DE-AC05-00OR22725 with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for the management and operation of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), is seeking commercialization partners for its Linked-View Parallel Coordinate Plot Renderer. There is often a need to visualize and interact with multidimensional data for hypothesis testing and knowledge discovery. This need can become complicated for large-scale displays or challenging for real-time interactivity on a desktop computer when thousands to millions of simulations need to be displayed. Researchers at ORNL have developed software that allows multiple linked views for interactive querying via map-based data selection, bar chart analytic overlays, and high dynamic range (HDR) line renderings. The major component of the visualization package is a parallel coordinate renderer with binning, curved layouts, shader-based rendering, and other techniques to allow interactive visualization of multidimensional data. Technology descriptions, publications, etc. can be found at this ORNL Technology Transfer website. License applications will be evaluated based on prospective partners' ability and commitment to successfully commercialize the technology, with a preference for United States-based businesses and small businesses. For additional information and license application, contact David Sims, Commercialization Manager, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, contact@example.gov, +1 (555) 000-0000.
