OTSO Field Rep Contractor

The Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) is engaging an Independent Contractor for the OTSO Field Rep Contractor role, aimed at providing oversight and support for driver training grant programs within the state. This contractual position, funded with a maximum budget of $49,500 at an hourly rate of $42, is designed to ensure compliance and effective communication with grantees. The contractor is expected to manage responsibilities such as inspecting and reviewing state driver training programs, including the Drive to Succeed and Creating Opportunities for Driver Education (CODE) grants. They must provide technical assistance, respond to grantee inquiries, maintain good relationships, prepare reports, assist in policy development, support grant program enforcement, participate in meetings and public forums, and document activities through data collation for grant reporting. The contract is effective upon receipt of a purchase order and runs through June 30, 20XX, with the possibility of renewal for up to twenty-four additional months. Tasks will be carried out across various grantee sites in Ohio, requiring the contractor to travel statewide. The contractor is responsible for providing their own vehicle, computer, and phone. Bidders must not have any findings for recovery under O.R.C. Section 9.24, nor appear on any federal or State of Ohio debarment list, and they must comply with all applicable laws.
