Sarasota County is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive overhead door services including preventative maintenance inspections, repairs, and installations across its various facilities throughout Florida. This Invitation for Bids, numbered 262867MKM, issued under the NAICS code 238290, has a posted date of May 26, 2026, with a response deadline of June 25, 2026. The anticipated contract term is three years, and the County intends to award up to two contracts to responsive and responsible bidders based on the lowest total bid prices. All work must be performed at County-owned buildings, with service requirements outlined in Attachment A, and estimated work hours specified for manual and electric door PMI services, as well as emergency and non-emergency technician hours. Bidders must be licensed Florida Certified General Contractors or Certified Building Contractors with active licenses at the time of bid opening, and must provide at least two verifiable references across the categories of PMI, repairs, and installations, with one reference being from a governmental entity. Personnel must pass FDLE’s CJIS background checks, especially those working in designated facilities like the 12th Judicial Circuit Court buildings, where biannual training is mandatory, and all employees must wear uniforms showing their name and company to ensure security compliance.
