Oxnard Fire Station No. 3 Project

The Oxnard Fire Station No. 3 Project, managed by the City of Oxnard, involves the demolition of an existing 4,452-square-foot fire station and associated structures at 150 Hill Street, Oxnard, California. In its place, a new 12,324-square-foot facility will be constructed with a maximum height of 36 feet. The new building will feature a single-story apparatus bay for engine and ladder company vehicles and living quarters designed for up to 11 personnel per shift, including bunk rooms, restrooms, a kitchen, laundry facilities, a dining room, a day room, office space, a fitness room, and an outdoor staff patio. The project scope also includes comprehensive site improvements on the 0.66-acre parcel, such as a hose drying tower, trash enclosure, and storage for sand and earthquake supplies, along with perimeter landscaping and paved parking and circulation. Environmental review for the project was conducted under CEQA, resulting in a Mitigated Negative Declaration to address potential impacts on biological, cultural, and geological resources. The project has received official approval via a Notice of Determination filed on July 8, 2026.
