P--RECYLCABLE SALE OF CONVENTIONAL METAL MUNITIONS SITE VISIT to be held 9 April 2013, 10:00AM, EST, to select business partner; candidates within 100 mile radius of Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA) should respond.

The contract seeks a business partner to engage in the sale and recycling of metals derived from the demilitarization of conventional military munitions at the Crane Army Ammunition Activity, authorized under Public Law 109-364, 10 USC 4690. The initiative aims to support the facility’s mission by developing a strategy to sell recyclable materials resulting from munitions disposal. The government is competitively soliciting sales offers through a synopsis, with no obligation to issue a formal solicitation. Interested candidates within a 100-mile radius of the Crane facility are invited to participate in an industry site visit scheduled for April 9, 2013. Selection of a partner will be made by June 2, 2013, based on best commercial practices to maximize government benefit. The agreement includes a base contract period with up to four annual option extensions. No time extensions for submission will be granted.
