Pacific Power - Hiouchi Reconductoring Project

The California Department of Parks and Recreation, specifically the North Coast Redwoods District, is issuing a Right of Entry to Pacific Power for the Hiouchi Reconductoring Project. This project grants access to Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park in Del Norte County to perform reconductoring and fire hardening work. These activities are part of a broader fire mitigation and system hardening program in California, conducted in accordance with California Senate Bill 901 and California Public Utilities Code Section 8386. All work performed under this agreement must strictly adhere to state and federal environmental laws, including the California Environmental Quality Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act, and Section 5024 of the Public Resources Code. The project has been granted a Notice of Exemption based on Categorical Exemption Class 5, Section 15305, as it involves minor land use alterations without changes in land use or density.
