AI Contract Overview
The contract pertains to the procurement of preformed packing in compliance with stringent military and cybersecurity standards, requiring the supplier to be a CMMC Level 2 Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization. All technical and quality requirements are governed by the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with the applicable revision determined by the solicitation or award date depending on acquisition size. Packaging must adhere to MIL-DTL-117, Type II, Class C, Style 1 specifications—using medium duty, waterproof, greaseproof, and opaque material—to protect items susceptible to UV degradation, particularly those under Federal Supply Classes 5330 and 5331. The contract strictly prohibits the intentional introduction of mercury or mercury-containing compounds into any supplied hardware, except for specific exempted applications like batteries, fluorescent lights, sensors, weapon systems, and authorized chemical reagents, with portable mercury-containing devices requiring shockproof construction and a secondary containment barrier per NAVSEA 5100-003D. Items must be free of asbestos, and any previously approved asbestos-containing parts listed under SPE7L3-26-T-118U are obsolete and no longer acceptable unless formally approved under Clause L30 and Provision 4 conditions. The item with NSN 5330-01-245-1413, quantity of 425 units, carries a non-extendable shelf life of 180 months, and must have at least 85% of that shelf life remaining upon delivery to the government depot. Delivery is required within 64 days of award, with performance located in Tracy, California, and all solicitations handled through the DLA procurement system with primary point of contact Nathaniel Weaver.
