Full Description
Madison VA Hospital is seeking Fiber Optic Cable with installation for the paging system upgrade and expansion. Provide, install, and test a dedicated, independent, underground fiber connection consisting of a 6-strand indoor/outdoor armored plenum single-mode (OS2) fiber optic cable, accessories, and installation to Bldgs. 4 and 12, a dedicated, independent, underground fiber connection consisting of a 6-strand indoor/outdoor plenum single-mode (OS2) fiber optic cable, accessories, and installation to Bldgs. 2, 5, 6, and 7 (materials except for SMURF Tubes furnished by the government (GFE)), and a dedicated, independent fiber connection consisting of a 18 or 24-strand indoor armored plenum single-mode (OS2) fiber optic cable(s), accessories, and installation from C-Wing Core (Rm. C-125) to the Penthouse. Fiber will be run using existing trenches/pathways (including those used by Federal Electronic Health Record (FEHR) and other fiber, where possible). Includes 1U fiber drawers and LC terminations (as needed), and project management. Contractor will use SMURF Tube to protect GFE provided non-armored fiber inside buildings. Fiber should terminate in the same room as the paging/network equipment in each building. Demark terminating at Bldg. 1 is C125 patch panel, run fiber optic above ceiling tiles in C125. Patch panels must be properly labeled.
