Synopsis: Notice of Intent to Award a Sole-Source Contract Announcement Number: NCNT1000-20-01313 Project Title: Paroscientific Digiquartz Precision Gauge Transmitters The US Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Region Acquisition Division, Simplified Acquisition Branch intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Paroscienific, Inc., 4500 148th Ave., NE, Redmond, WA 98052, using the procedures in FAR Part 13, to provide Paroscientific 6000-30G Digiquartz Precision Gauge Transmitters to repair and strengthen stations in the National Water Level Observation Network. These transmitters are the standard primary water level pressure used at CO-OPS environmental monitoring stations. They provide precise pressure measurements required and are capable of withstanding the harsh marine environments they are deployed in for extended periods of time and that the power consumption, size, and other characteristics are appropriate for the specialized data acquisition and logging system to which it is connected. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Only one responsible source. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 334519, Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing with a business size standard of 500 employees. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotes, nor will one be posted on FedBizOpps. Although a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
