AI Contract Overview
This contract pertains to the procurement of a Parts Kit, Split Flange, identified by NSN 4730-01-728-2296 and purchase request 7017602364, with a total quantity of four kits to be delivered within 168 days. Each kit must be individually packaged and preserved in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1E, Appendix D, which mandates Method of Preservation 33 to safeguard the most critical components within the kit. All O-rings, if not pre-assembled, must be individually wrapped in opaque barrier bags compliant with MIL-DTL-117 Type II Class C Style 1, MIL-PRF-121 Type I, or Opaque MIL-DTL-23199, and cushioned with HB material to prevent deformation or deterioration. Packaging must conform to MIL-STD-129 marking standards and include an internal parts list with item names, numbers, and quantities. The kit must be delivered FOB origin, with no variance permitted in quantity, and inspected and accepted at the destination. The contract strictly prohibits the intentional addition of mercury or mercury-containing compounds to any supplied hardware, except for functional uses in batteries, fluorescent lights, instrumentation, weapon systems, and Navsea-specified chemical reagents; portable mercury-containing devices must include a secondary containment boundary. Class I ozone-depleting chemicals are completely banned, superseding any conflicting specification requirements unless authorized. Packaging must adhere to DLA’s specific requirements as outlined in RP001, including palletization and preservation methods. All technical and quality standards referenced via R or I numbers are governed by the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with the applicable revision determined by the solicitation issue or award date. The unit of issue is “KT” for kit, and the supplier must ensure full compliance with all marking, preservation, and documentation protocols specified in the contract documents.
