Full Description

The Project consists of repairing and rehabilitating the City's existing roadway network at various locations citywide. Work includes cold milling, asphalt concrete (AC) overlay, localized AC digouts, and slurry seal within the existing public right-of-way (ROW). The project also includes replacement of existing pedestrian curb ramps, vehicle detection loops, striping, as well as the adjustment of utility valves, boxes and vaults as shown on the project plans. All improvements are limited to replacement of existing assets and will not increase roadway capacity or expand the existing roadway footprint. Excavation associated with localized pavement digouts is anticipated lo occur to a maximum depth of approximately 30 inches below existing grade. Curb ramp work will consist of reconstruction of existing ramps within the existing sidewalk and curb return areas. All construction staging, material storage, and equipment laydown will occur within the existing ROW, as allowed per Section 3-12.4.2 of the Greenbook. Work includes traffic control, protection of existing improvements, and restoration of disturbed areas. The duration of construction is anticipated to be approximately 8 to 9 months.
