INFORMATIONAL AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY! This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost in developing information provided to the Government. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced at a later date and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from responses to this announcement.


This notification is being conducted by the 163rd ATKW at March ARB.


This Sources Sought is only intended to identify potential sources for the purpose of market research, describes only the current contemplated scope of potential requirements and may vary from the scope of the requirement in a final SOW included in any RFP.


The Sources Sought number is 26-P-0000 036653 and shall be used to reference any written responses to this Sources Sought.


The anticipated North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction with a size standard for the proposed NAICS of $45M.


Business Status: The Government is interested in all Small Businesses that are capable of meeting this requirement, including, HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, VOSB, and general Small Businesses.


Work includes design, inspection, preparation, slurry seal types II and III, mill and overlay, curbs, full depth replacement, striping and signage.


PAVING TYPES


Multiple paving types are required for this project and will be indicated in drawings upon release of solicitation.


SLURRY


Slurry Seal Types II & III are required to include preparation, crack filling and slurry seal.


OVERLAY


Milling and Overlay will be required for this project and will be indicated in drawings upon release of solicitation.



REPLACEMENT


Providing Full Depth Replacement will be required for this project as well and will be indicated in drawings upon release of solicitation.


There will be a requirement to Survey the sites and provide Grading and Striping Plans in Civil 3D to include:


- Increase parking lot depth to south ~5’ to 120’


- Provide 4 parking rows, 9’x18’ stalls with 24’ aisles.


- Include north & south flush curb in overall dimension.


- Raise paving flush at concrete pad with consistent 2% slope approximate


entire lot.


- Flush PCC Curb: 12”W x 8”D with (2) #4 rebar continuous 3” from edges.


- At flush curb grade planter -6”FS x 5’W out then slope to meet existing glade.


- Submit plans to government for review.


- Demo: 4” full depth asphalt paving, base and headers, planters and trees as


shown, roots and stumps grinded to subgrade, ~10’ LF lifted curb and gutter,


and (26) concrete wheel stops.


Grading: Compact subgrade to 95%


Base: Provide 6” Class 2 AB placed in lifts and compacted to 95% relative


compaction per Caltrans Section 26. Grade for drainage and proof roll prior to paving.


Paving: Place and compact minimum depth 4” HMA 1/2 mix, PG64-10 binder per


Caltrans Section 39. Place in lifts and compact to spec. provide tack coat, and finish


to smooth grade with positive drainage.


Curbs: Provide ~530 LF flush PCC curb at planter edge per Caltrans Section 73.


Over excavate -18”D FS, cut roots as required, compact and provide base.


Base: Add and repair for 6” 3/4” Class 2 AB compacted to 95% per Caltrans Section


26.


Paving: Place 4” HMA, 1/2 mix, PG64-10 binder per Caltrans Section 39.


PAVEMENT MARKING AND SIGNAGE


Pavement Marking and Signage will be required for this project.


1 Provide double line striping 4” wide and other pavement markings per Caltrans Section 84.:
