The Regional Contracting Office at Parris Island has issued a Notice of Intent to Award a sole source contract for transponder devices and toll fees required for using public toll roads throughout Pennsylvania. This contract, initially awarded on October 1, 2010, under Purchase Order M67011-10-P-0012, was valued at $21,600. A subsequent modification raised the contract amount to $24,600, and an additional funding increment has now increased the total contract value to $26,000. The sole source awardee is the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, specifically its EZ Pass Customer Service division located in Middleton, PA, as these toll roads are exclusively managed by this commission. The contract falls under the Department of Defense and is managed through the Regional Contracting Office in Parris Island, South Carolina. Since the Turnpike Commission exclusively governs these roads, no other interested parties are expected to submit proposals or requests. The designated government point of contact for this contract is Richard Olivella, who can be reached via phone or email for any further information or inquiries. This arrangement ensures streamlined access and payment for toll usage within Pennsylvania’s turnpike system under a consolidated and controlled procurement process.
