Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML)-Lite Prototype Effort
Solicitation # W50RAJ27CAML_LITE
The Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML)-Lite Prototype Effort is a competitive procurement conducted under 10 U.S.C. section 4022 for the development of a mobile, optionally manned, autonomous launcher designed to increase survivability and reduce manned support for cross-domain fires. Managed by the Department of Defense, this effort utilizes Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) and follows a two-phase structure. Phase 1 focuses on a government-sponsored prototype demonstration at Talisman Sabre 2027 in August 2027, with options for the government to acquire additional prototype units, new equipment training, and contractor logistics support. Phase 2 involves maturing selected solutions into a production-representative configuration integrated into a common CAML architecture. The procurement process begins with a Request for Solutions Brief to identify meritorious respondents, who will then be invited to submit a Request for Prototype Proposal. Key technical requirements include the use of a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) to ensure interchangeable modules and common interfaces. Performers are required to assume full responsibility for international logistics and compliance for the Phase 1 demonstration and must adhere to minimum Right to Repair requirements as a condition of award. Selection for Phase 1 is based on the feasibility of the maturation path and the technical soundness of the approach, while subsequent option exercises will prioritize speed of delivery, technical performance, property rights, and the right to repair. Phase 1 OTA awards are expected by December 18, 2026, with a firm-fixed-price payment structure split between award and demonstration completion.

Protein Palace Proposers Day
Solicitation # DARPA-SN-27-01
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Multi X Office is hosting an in-person Proposers Day for the Protein Palace program on November 17, 2026, at the Executive Conference Center in Arlington, Virginia. This event is issued under Special Notice DARPA-SN-27-01 for information and program planning purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation. The Protein Palace program seeks to develop agile, tunable protein purification methods that move beyond current state-of-the-art physicochemical methods to separate target proteins at high purity and yield. The program is structured in two phases: a 24-month first phase focusing on specificity and generalizability by separating eight different proteins, followed by an 18-month second phase focusing on scalability and throughput using two difficult-to-purify proteins. Interested parties must register by November 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. ET, submitting required documentation such as DARPA Form 104, Form 60 for permanent residents or foreign nationals, or a Foreign Visit Request for official foreign government personnel. The event will be held at the unclassified level, and attendees must provide government-issued photo identification. While a formal solicitation is expected to be released on sam.gov prior to the event, any proposals submitted in response to this special notice will be disregarded. Technical inquiries are directed to Dr. Huanan Zhang, the MXO Program Manager.

MIDS WDL SF3 Radio
Solicitation # N0003927R0003
Solicitation N0003927R0003, issued by the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command, seeks a contractor for the design, development, and qualification of the Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Weapons Data Link (WDL) Small Form Factor (SFF) Weapons Attritable Radio Multi-Mode (SWARMM) Family 3 (SF3) radio. The project requires maturing a software-defined radio with Waveform-L and Waveform-S communications capabilities and embedded encryption, leveraging Open System Architecture (OCS 2.0) to align with the Open Mission Systems model. Key deliverables include the development of all necessary software, firmware, hardware, and digital models for Contractor First Article Qualification Testing, as well as the delivery of ten Proof of Development units and one hundred Proof of Manufacturing units. The total period of performance for design, development, and qualification is 15 months after receipt of order. The contract is a Firm Fixed Price award based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) selection process. Evaluation follows a two-step approach: first, a mandatory gate criteria check to ensure the offeror can provide NSA-certified radios within 15 months of award; second, a technical evaluation involving a radio demonstration at the contractor's facility and a review of the Integrated Master Schedule. Pricing is structured across several CLINs, including Non-recurring Engineering (NRE) development, Engineering Development Models, product baseline qualification, and EMI/NSA certification. Due to the sensitive nature of the technology, the contract requires a Top Secret facility security clearance and strict adherence to COMSEC and TEMPEST standards for Controlled Cryptographic Items. All proposals must be submitted electronically via the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) Vendor Portal.
