The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Procurement, Southern Region / Midstates Section, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Multi Systems Installation, Inc. (MSI), 20101 W. 55th Street, Shawnee, KS 66218 for Phase IV of the Office Workstations & Furniture Relocation and Consolidation Services at the IRS Kansas City (KC) Facility. The purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. MSI was the original installer of all equipment and furniture within the KC facility and is also the contractor that performs the warranty repairs on the systems furniture within the facility. MSI employees are currently badged and vetted which enables them to go unescorted during their time within the facility. Due to the uniqueness of this requirement, no other contractors are acceptable. The Government intends to solicit and award to one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source. This notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. No formal solicitation will be made available. No phone calls will be accepted and voice mail messages will neither be acknowledged nor returned.
