Poplar 18 Project

The Poplar 18 project involves Amendment No. 1 to the Western Joshua Tree Conservation Act Incidental Take Permit No. 1927-ITP-2023-008-06. Managed by the City of Hesperia as the lead agency, the primary objective of this amendment is to update Measure 7.3, the Relocation Plan, and the associated Relocation Plan map. Specifically, the amendment changes the designated relocation site from the original onsite landscaping area to the Phelan 60 site owned by Cambria 60 Partners LLC, located in Hesperia, California. The project is situated in San Bernardino County within the City of Hesperia, bounded by Interstate 15 to the east and U.S. Route 395 to the west. It encompasses two parcels identified as Assessor's Parcel Numbers 3064-581-04-0000 and 3064-581-05-0000. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has issued a Notice of Determination confirming that the project complies with environmental review requirements, including the preparation of an Environmental Impact Report and adherence to Public Resources Code section 21081(a).
