AI Contract Overview
The contract is for the procurement of positioning blocks specified as a set of two units, designed specifically for head support and intended for use with the Rescue Sleeve II. The items are black, washable, and come without restrictions on overall size. Each unit must be properly packaged in sealed containers that ensure protection against damage during shipment, following commercial packaging standards and relevant military marking regulations defined by Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which supersedes previous MIL-STD-129 requirements. The materials must comply with various technical and quality standards outlined by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), including restrictions on mercury content and adherence to detailed packaging and labeling procedures to ensure safe and compliant delivery. The order calls for a quantity of 10 units, each identified with NSN 6530-01-477-9448, to be delivered within 20 days to the destination specified under FOB terms at the USS Decatur DDG 73. Inspection and acceptance of the products will also take place at the destination. The contract mandates that all shipments observe DLA packaging requirements and ASTM D3951 guidelines, with palletization per applicable DLA procurement standards. The contracting agency is the Medical Supply Chain FSH under the Department of Defense, with a point of contact provided for coordination. The procurement is classified under NAICS code 339113 and includes directives for handling, marking, and documentation to ensure compliance and secure transportation in support of military medical applications.
