SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS Potable Ice THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS LIMITED TO POTABLE ICE DELIVERY TO BE COMPLETED AT FORT HOOD, TEXAS. RESPONSES TO THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ARE NOT CONSIDERED OFFERS AND CANNOT BE ACCEPTED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO FORM A BINDING CONTRACT. HISTORICALLY THIS WAS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The Mission Installation Contracting Command is issuing this sources sought as a means to conduct market research to identify active stakeholders having interest in and the resources to provide Potable Ice for the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) at Fort Hood, Texas. Provision of the ice will require delivery to designated locations and off load and stacking of ice. The ice is needed to enable the Subsistence Supply Management Office, LRC to support Soldiers while they are training throughout the Fort Hood Military Installation. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 312113-Ice Manufacturing. This U.S. industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in manufacturing ice. The small business size standard for the selected NAICS is 750 employees. A continuing need is anticipated for the Potable Ice contract which is currently being fulfilled by contract number W91151-12-D-0004. The Period of Performance (POP) is to be determined. Attached is a sample Performance Work Statement (PWS). THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; however, the government assumes no financial obligation for any costs incurred and no submittals will be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in procurements at Fort Hood Texas. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) government website. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the FEDBIZOPPS for additional information pertaining to this requirement. If your organization has the potential capacity to provide potable ice, please provide the following information to the attached questionnaire and submit it in accordance with the instructions below.
