The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division at Patuxent River, Maryland, is seeking a complete Flight Termination Systems Relay suite of software and hardware from WV Communications, Inc. to support the Atlantic Test Range. The required equipment includes NRE Relay suite firmware software, a relay suite firmware software package, two receiver/decoders, two simulator TDUs, and two diplexers. These components are essential to meet Range Commander Council requirements RCC-319 and RCC-208, which are critical for safety of flight. This procurement is structured as a firm fixed price contract under NAICS code 334220. Due to the necessity of interfacing with existing WV Communications equipment and the significant risks, costs, and schedule delays associated with switching vendors, the government has pursued a sole-source justification for this action. The anticipated delivery timeline for the hardware and software is six months after the receipt of the order.
