Global Plant Level Capacity Statistics


Enforcement and Compliance (E&C) wishes to purchase a subscription to a data service from which the Industry Monitoring & Analysis Unit (IMAU) can extract plant level data, including global plant level capacity statistics accompanied by detailed information about the type of steel making equipment present in the plants . As the group is called upon to quickly and precisely support detailed data exercises as parts of several high profile, large steel-related projects, it is mandatory that the team has ready access to reputable, detailed plant level steel-making capacity data and other plant level information to support its on-going work.


This data service must include coverage for the U. S , India, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, France, Germany, and all major steel producing countries, especially the largest steel producers (Refer to Attachment A). The information listed below must be provided for each country


    • Crude steel production data by plant and country level (BOF or EAF)*
    • Crude steel capacity by plant and country level (BOF and EAF design and actual)*
    • Employee count by plant
    • Information on plant level products produced
    • Plant information, including the type(s) of equipment in the plants because this can be indicative of the types of production processes operating in the plants
    • Plant operating status
