Scope: NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Parking Lot E8 Repairs, Project Number PE825PK023 California State University, Long Beach 1250 Bellflower Blvd Long Beach, CA 90840 The Trustees of the California State University will receive sealed bid proposals at the Design and Construction Services Office located at 1331 Bellflower Blvd, Long Beach CA 90840, for furnishing all labor and materials for construction of the above-named Project, Project Number PE825PK023, for the California State University Long Beach campus. Proposals will be received in the above mentioned office until 2:00 p.m. on November 12, 2026, in accordance with the contract documents, at which time the proposals will be publicly opened and read. The project shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by 19six Architects; 802 East Cota Street, Suite A, Santa Barbara; Ewa Pocwiardowska; (805) 963-1955 e-mail: ewa@19six.com. The Owner’s construction estimate is $3,700,000. Scope: In general, the work consists of the complete removal of the existing 4 inch asphalt pavement and the upper 18 inches of soil (which includes 12-14 inches of cement-treated soil). The new asphalt section will consist of a minimum of 4 inches of asphalt placed over non-expansive fill compacted to a minimum of 95% relative compaction. The scope also includes converting 9 EV ready stalls to full EV charging capability and restriping. A pre-bid conference via Zoom has been scheduled for September 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to attend via the following link: https://csulb.zoom.us/j/83022756577. A mandatory pre-bid site walk has been scheduled for October 20, 2026. Interested bidders should assemble at Parking Lot E8 on the South end of campus, along 7th Street. Each bidder offering a proposal must comply with Bidding provisions of Article 2.00 et seq. in the Contract General Conditions regarding the necessity to prequalify. To apply, Bidders shall go to the following “PlanetBids” website, register, log in, and select the Prequalification tab. “California State University, Office of the Chancellor, Vendor Portal” (https://www.planetbids.com/portal/portal.cfm?CompanyID=15331) Questions regarding prequalification with the Chancellor’s Office should be directed to the Trustees’ Prequalification Administrator at cocm.prequal@calstate.edu. All required prequalification documents must be submitted to the Chancellor’s office by October 5, 2026. In addition to being prequalified with the Chancellor’s Office, all bidders must be prequalified with California State University, Long Beach. This requires submitting responses to the Technical Prequalification Questionnaire, which can be obtained on Planetbids. Questions and responses should be directed to tammy.dinh@csulb.edu. The Technical Prequalification Questionnaire will be reviewed at the campus level by California State University, Long Beach. All required prequalification documents must be submitted to California State University, Long Beach by October 5, 2026. Prequalified contractors will be notified by October 19, 2026 and will receive a bid proposal package. All bidders must have attended the mandatory site walk, be prequalified with the Chancellor’s Office, and technically prequalified by California State University, Long Beach.
