The 149th Contracting Office plans to make a sole source award to Southwest Solutions Group for a preventive maintenance program covering seven specific Kardex/Remstar (Megastar) systems, including various lift and carousel models identified by their serial numbers. This decision is based on the determination that only one source is reasonably available under Federal Acquisition Regulation guidelines. However, other interested parties are invited to provide information regarding their capability to deliver similar services by May 4, 2012, with all inquiries due by May 2, 2012. Submissions must clearly demonstrate the ability to meet the contract requirements, including maintenance specifications, part numbers, warranty details, and relevant product information, sent exclusively via email. The contract is set aside as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 423440 and will be performed at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. If no viable alternative offers are received by the deadline, the contracting office will proceed with awarding the contract solely to Southwest Solutions Group. Points of contact for this procurement include Robert Pena for questions and submission of responses, and Contracting Officer Matthew Vilsack, both based at the Department of Defense office. All communications must comply with attachment size restrictions and be sent electronically.
