Full Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has awarded a firm fixed price, sole source contract for a base year and four option years to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Incorporated to procure Conformal Controlled Reception Pattern Antennas (C-CRPA) for the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft. It is estimated the Navy will procure approximately 174 units over a five year period to support Domestic and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirements. However, at this time (base period), 10 units have been procured. The contract was awarded on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition of Title 10 USC 2304(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." This acquisition satisfies agency requirements critical to the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G program office.
