*Project Withdrawn* Wildfire Resilience Project

The Wildfire Resilience Project, managed by the California Department of Parks and Recreation's Inland Empire District, focuses on vegetation management across approximately 161 acres of the 840-acre Wildwood Canyon State Park in San Bernardino County. The primary objectives are to restore native fire-adapted plant communities and moderate future wildfire severity through strategic fuel reduction. Key treatments include prescribed pile and broadcast burning, manual and mechanical site preparation, the use of a track chipper, and manual vegetation removal for infrastructure protection. The project is governed by CEQA Categorical Exemption Class 4, Section 15304 for minor land alterations and Statutory Exemption Section 21080.56, with concurrence from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. While initially posted under solicitation number SCH-2025090078, the project was subsequently withdrawn from publication in September 2025 to allow for a reassessment of the scope of work.
