Promenade at Natomas

The City of Sacramento has approved a major development initiative within the Promenade at Natomas Planned Unit Development, encompassing the construction of 378 multi-unit residential dwellings on a 12.9-acre site rezoned from Employment Center (EC-50-PUD) to Multi-Unit Dwelling (R-3A-PUD) zoning. The project includes associated infrastructure such as 165 park-and-ride parking spaces, 350,050 square feet of site improvements, resident amenities, and the removal of ten protected trees—four private and six city-owned—under a granted tree permit. The development is governed by an approved Development Agreement and an amendment to the Promenade at Natomas PUD Guidelines and Schematic Plan, with all environmental compliance measures finalized through a Negative Declaration under the California Environmental Quality Act and the implementation of required mitigation strategies. The project was officially filed and finalized in late August 2025 following City Council approval, with all regulatory documentation and mitigation requirements tied to the approval package.
