This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 


Solicitation number 12363N26Q4160 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Promenade Park Stewardship IRSC (Integrated Resource Service Contract). Award shall be made under the R5 Pacific Southwest Stewardship Blanket Purchase Agreement.  Only current BPA holders are eligible to submit quotes.  Quotes received from vendors that have not been awarded an R5 Pacific Southwest Stewardship BPA will be rejected; no evaluation of submitted documents will be performed.


The Forest Service is executing this procurement using stewardship contracting authority provided under 16 USC 6591c.  The objectives of this project are to improve health and resiliency across the landscape in post-fire stands within recent wildfire footprints, to reduce fuels and snags to prepare the landscape for future fire, and limit excessive fuel accumulation, especially within and adjacent to communities, and increase the resilience of remnant green stands not effected by the Park Fire. The project will advance EO 14225, Immediate Expansion of American Timber Production, and the USDA's National Active Forest Management Strategy. Project activities include:


1.         Cut, Skid and Deck Included Timber from the Contract Area,


2.         Removal of Included Timber from the Contract Area,


3.         Road Maintenance,


4.         Road Reconstruction Work.


This acquisition  is total small business set-aside.  The set-aside related to the business status of the vendors submitting quotes and does not limit where the wood products may be sold.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 113310 – Logging.  The small business size standard is 500 employees  All responsible sources that have been awarded R5 Pacific Southwest Stewardship BPAs for work on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit may submit quotations which will be considered by the agency.
