Proposed Repair of Porch at Lobdell House

The Town of North Salem is soliciting sealed bids for contract 26-06 to perform exterior porch repairs at the Lobdell House located at 270 Titicus Road, North Salem, NY. The scope of work includes structural stabilization such as installing three 14 inch diameter concrete sonotubes with 2 by 2 footings, using hydraulic jacks to reduce the porch pitch, and replacing a hip roof rafter. All materials must meet strict quality standards, including the use of 5000 psi Quikrete concrete and No. 1 grade Douglas fir lumber with a maximum moisture content of 19 percent. The project has a performance term of three months, and payment will be made as a single lump sum upon the completion and approval of the work by the Town or its representative.
