The U.S. Coast Guard, under the Department of Homeland Security’s Operational Logistics Command (LOG-94), intends to award a sole-source Firm Fixed Price contract to Massachusetts Maritime Academy for temporary lodging services in support of PSU 301’s Annual Training in June 2026. The contract period runs from June 5 to June 20, 2026, and requires the provision of 18 double-occupancy rooms for 270 total room nights at a facility located within half a mile of 101 Academy Drive in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts. This procurement is conducted under FAR Part 12 procedures as a commercial item acquisition, specifically invoking FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to justify the sole-source selection due to the unique geographic and operational necessity of housing personnel directly adjacent to the training site, with no other vendor reasonably available to meet mission-critical requirements.
