Nature of Requirements: The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide psychiatric care services to offenders and collaborate with the inter-disciplinary health services team that includes, but is not limited to Nurses, Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, Dietitians, Dentists, Psychologists, and other medical and allied healthcare professionals. Objectives: The Contractor must provide and actively participate in the coordination of essential mental health services as a psychiatrist to offenders released in the Community and still under the care and responsibility of CSC in the Halifax Parole Office, Dartmouth Parole Office and the Jamieson Community Correctional Center. Deliverables: The Contractor must provide services in accordance with the ethical and professional practice standards of the applicable college of Physicians and Surgeons. The Contractor must provide all services respecting federal and provincial legislation and standards, provincial and national and CSC Policy and Guidelines related to the provision of mental health and physical healthcare.
