PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FOR HOGLE BOILERS (PHASE II) ITB-27-055

The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) is seeking proposals under Invitation to Bid ITB-27-055 for the Hogle Boilers (Phase II) project. The scope of work requires a qualified firm, properly licensed in the State of Florida, to replace two Aerco boilers with two Lochinvar boilers at the Hogle Center, building 27. Key deliverables include the disconnection and removal of existing electrical, gas, water, and flu piping, the installation of new boilers in the same location, the disposal of the old units, and the modification of vent piping from the 16-inch Y fitting back to each boiler. The contract will be awarded to the lowest cost responsive vendor who provides the best value to the state based on price. Proposals must be submitted by December 7, 2026, at 1:45 PM. A complete submission requires one original signed reply, five copies, and one identical electronic version, all sealed in appropriate packaging with the required label affixed to the lower left-hand corner. Mandatory documentation includes a title page, vendor registration and licensure, and various certifications such as the Public Entity Crimes Sworn Statement and Vendor Certification Form PUR7801. While bid and performance bonds are not required, vendors must provide a certificate of insurance and comply with the Jessica Lunsford Act regarding background checks. Performance is subject to annual legislative appropriation, and delivery must be completed within 30 calendar days of an order. All work must be verified and accepted in writing by the FSDB Contract Manager.
