A. The Military and Community Relations Office (MACRO) is a newly formed office operating under the Department of Business and Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT). The MACRO promotes positive relationships between Hawai‘i’s military and civilian sectors by fostering mutual respect and understanding through collaboration on issues important to both the State of Hawai‘i and the United States Department of Defense. Through engagement, education, and transparent communication with the military, MACRO is committed to promoting and preserving the cultural, economic, and environmental foundations of Hawai‘i. As a newly formed office, MACRO is soliciting proposals from qualified companies familiar with both local and military culture to provide Public Relations, Communications, and Outreach Services to cultivate awareness, promote positive brand associations, and provide opportunities for community engagement. The firm will identify and develop multicultural needs related to communication projects and propose culturally sensitive recommendations to meet plan objectives. B.
