TOWN OF BRUNSWICK, MAINE
PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY PHASE 1A IMPROVEMENTS
Town of Brunswick (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Public Works Facility Phase 1A Improvements
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Town Manager's Office located at 85 Union Street, Brunswick, Maine 04011, until August 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project includes the following Work:
Site work for the installation of a new fuel island (fuel island by others), site work and construction of a new salt sand shed, new underground electrical distribution, new site work for brine station, stormwater treatment measures and storm drainage, paving and site landscaping.
The project must achieve substantial completion and final completion within 220 days and 250 days, respectively, from Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages are $1,500 per calendar day.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents
The Issuing Office is the Town of Brunswick. Information and Bidding Documents for the Project can be found at the following designated website: https://www.brunswickme.gov/bids.aspx?bidID=58.
To be considered a responsive Bidder, the Bidder shall have obtained at least one set of Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office using the name that is to appear on the Bid Form. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. It is the Bidder’s responsibility to check the designated website for addenda.
Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on August 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Brunswick Public Works Office, 9 Industry Road, Brunswick, ME 04011. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory and bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference.
