Pull Box

The pull box is a heavy-duty, tier 15 rated fiberglass or fiberglass reinforced polymer unit measuring 13 inches wide, 24 inches long, and 18 inches deep, designed for high strength and low weight to withstand incidental non-roadway traffic. It features an open bottom, a bottom flange to prevent settling after installation, and is stackable for efficient storage and transport. The interior of the box must have the NES stock code 060020500 stenciled in black or white paint approximately six inches from the top for clear visibility. A polymer concrete ring is integrated at the top of the box to securely accept the cover. The cover is constructed of fiberglass reinforced polymer concrete and is secured to the box using two half-inch penta-head stainless steel bolts. Two lifting pins are incorporated into the cover for ease of handling, and the top surface must display the tier rating and manufacturer’s name embossed prominently, along with the logo “NES STREET LIGHTING.” The cover’s surface must meet the coefficient of friction requirements specified in ASTM C-1028 for slip resistance. Approved manufacturers include New Basis with part number FCA132418T-912, Old Castle with part number CTA132418HD521X000, and Hubbell with part number LA1213245265K1.
