Full Description
(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation number 140L0126Q0005 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ), for alfalfa hay to be delivered to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Palomino Valley Wild Horse and Burro Center (PVC) in Reno, Nevada.
This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS associated with this solicitation is 111940, Hay Farming, size standard of $2,500,000.00.
This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov.
(ii) This requirement is to procure and deliver a total of 3,000 tons of alfalfa hay in accordance with the Specifications (Attachment 2).
(iii) The product to be acquired is alfalfa hay from 2026 2nd crop or 2026 equivalent crop and in accordance with the Specifications (Attachment 2).
(iv) Three separate deliveries shall take place between October 1, 2026 through June 18, 2027 each containing 1,000 tons of alfalfa hay per delivery schedule in the Specifications (Attachment 2).
(v) Please refer to Provisions (Attachment 5) for provisions that apply to this acquisition and FAR 52.212-1 Addendum Instructions to Quoters (Attachment 6) for additional provision instructions.
(vi) A list of contract clauses that apply to the acquisition can be accessed in Clauses (Attachment 3).
(vii) Quotations are due no later than August 10, 2026, 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time (MT). Quotations shall be submitted via electronic mail to the point of contact listed below in section (x).
(viii) All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered by the agency.
(ix) Interested parties may submit any questions about this solicitation by email to the contact in section (x) no later than July 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. MT. Answers will be posted as an RFQ amendment on SAM.gov within 5 business days after the question period closes.
