The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) has identified a need to provide to its employees Python development training for applications involving data analysis, visualization, automation, machine learning, and natural language processing. Python is a widely used high-level programming language for general-purpose programming that emphasizes code readability (notably using whitespace indentation to delimit code blocks rather than curly brackets or keywords), and a syntax that allows programmers to express concepts in fewer lines of code than might be used in languages such as C++ or Java (Wikipedia, 2017). The primary objective of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to procure training for Volpe Center employees that provides instruction in the concepts and practices of Python Development.
