Full Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Audie L. Murphy Memorial Hospital, San Antonio, TX, VISN 17, intends to negotiate a sole-source purchase order with the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center - San Antonio, Texas. Pathology/Laboratory Medicine has a requirement for the delivery of blood and blood products, and delivery services of those products and Laboratory Fee Basis Testing for the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS), in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, and schedule. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (i), (A) demonstrates a unique capability of the source to provide the particular research services. NAICS code 621991. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no valid responses are received, the South Texas Veterans Health Care System will proceed with the intended sole source contract.
