Full Description

THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. The Government intends to procure Blood Products and Related Services for multiple locations within the VA. The contractor awarded this contract shall be required to provide all requirements for blood products and related services for Cheyenne WY, Fort Harrison MT, Salt Lake City UT and Grand Junction CO. Requirements shall include, but not limited to, the supplying of blood and blood components to the four mentioned VA medical centers. They will provide credit for return of packed cells, Leukoreduced and platelets aphersis, services in testing blood and blood components in accordance with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards, and handling, packaging and delivering blood and blood components in accordance with FDA and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) regulations. Contractors should have capabilities of delivering the variety of supplies required and providing services and supplies on an immediate and emergent basis (delivery within one (1) hour). The contractor shall perform these services in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW), and all other required regulatory guidance. This acquisition will be solicited as a Request for Proposal (RFP) utilizing FAR Part 15. The Government contemplates a full and open competitive multiple award Firm-Fixed Price IDIQ contract will result from this solicitation. The performance period will be a base period with four (4) option years. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 621991. The anticipated date to issue solicitation will be on or about 20 August 2012. It will be posted electronically on the Federal Business Opportunity website (https://www.fbo.gov). No paper copies will be issued; no telephone requests will be honored and no offerors' mailing list will be maintained. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any subsequent amendments. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) www.ccr.gov and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) https://orca.bpn.gov.
