The VAMC Spokane, WA intends to issue a sole source Request For Quote to Med Accuracy, for AU MEDS Observation based Medication Error Detection System to include training VA employees as Certified Medical Observers. NAICS: 541511. The Government believes that Med Accuracy is the only provider that will satisfy the agency requirements. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR Part 12 and 13, Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however; any firm that believes it can meet the following requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer, VAMC Spokane, WA. 4815 N Assembly St, Spokane, WA., within seven (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis: 1) Software must be able to: identify, measure and track medication errors at the point of administration. 2) Assist the Government in identifying the successful Certified Medication Observer(s) (CMO). 3) Provide onsite training and certification of the CMO. 4) Provide software installation assistance. 5) Provide software training. 6) Provide annual training and re-certification of CMO. 7) Provide Software Updates. 8) Software Performance Specifications: standard Microsoft Access database (Microsoft Office Professional 97/2000/XP/2003) automatically generates slide reports using Microsoft PowerPoint based on valid dose selections generates reports automatically using Crystal Reports format based on valid dose selections compatible with all market standard back-up programs includes a glossary and help file, in addition to telephone technical support, assisting users on all subjects related to its operation Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to the above listed address or via fax to +1 (555) 000-0000. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, VA will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Med Accuracy.
